On top of our fee, the state charges $100 to file the Articles of Organization with the State Corporation Commission, plus a $50 annual registration fee every year after (Virginia SCC). Every Virginia LLC must continuously maintain a registered agent with a Virginia address — we can help coordinate this for you (Virginia SCC — Registered Agents).
If your company is already formed and you just need its federal tax ID number, we handle the application for you.
What you need: your company's information, your name, and your Social Security Number or ITIN.
An EIN is used to open business bank accounts, file taxes, hire employees, and run day-to-day operations. The IRS never charges for an EIN — it's free and typically issued within minutes online (IRS.gov). Our fee covers making sure the application is filed correctly the first time.
We complete the Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) report when it's required for your company.
Under FinCEN's current rule, U.S.-formed companies are exempt from BOI reporting — only foreign companies registered to do business in the U.S. still have to file (FinCEN.gov). We can confirm whether your company still needs to report before you pay for something you may not need.
If your LLC will have two or more members, we recommend putting a Partnership Agreement in writing.
What you need: each partner's full name and ID, and the ownership percentage and responsibilities you want to establish.

Every Virginia LLC must continuously maintain a registered agent with a Virginia address, and pay a $50 annual registration fee. Skip either one, and the state moves your business to "pending inactive" status; if it isn't resolved, your LLC is automatically terminated (Virginia SCC).

Not necessarily — you can form the LLC on its own for $300 if you're not ready for an EIN yet. Most clients bundle both together for $500, since you'll likely need the EIN soon after to open a business bank account.
